At Maui Vacation Consultants, we want you to have the best time here in Maui.  So we have
selected the best companies for your island activities.  Following is a list of tours and shows that
we highly recommend.  Please remember that during peak times of the year, many activities will
sell out in advance.  We suggest booking your activities at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival.  We
will be happy to make all the arrangements for you and will meet you at your hotel or condo with
your tickets.

Old Lahaina Luau is a very traditional luau located oceanfront in Lahaina.  All of the dances are
Hawaiian and tell a story of how hula has changed over the years.  It is a great show.  They have a
choice of traditional mat seating on mats, cushions and low tables or regular table and chair
seating.  Open bar, full buffet dinner and a fresh flower lei.  Cost is $92 + tax, children 12 and under
$62.  Times vary with sunset.
Seating is based on when reservations are made, so let’s book this one in advance.

Other island luaus are available at the Hyatt Regency Maui, Wailea Marriott, Maui Prince and in
Waikapu.    Most are a high energy Polynesian luau with dances from Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji
and New Zealand.  Prices vary, ask and we will find the best luau to meet your needs.

Cirque Polynesia is a Cirque show with added Polynesian acts blended in.  The host of the
evening in Vili the Warrior, often seen on the sidelines of University of Hawaii Football Games is
quite amusing and he involves the audience.  This show is exclusively at the Hyatt and they
recently opened an outdoor venue set up just for the Cirque show.
Prices start at $65 for adults and $29 for kids 12 and under.  Dinner options are available.

Ulalena.  It is a production at the Maui Theatre that is truly spectacular.  There isn't any English
spoken, all Hawaiian.  Just a fantastic show, hard to explain with words, but it is all about the
demigods, myths and legends of Maui.
The cost is $59.50/$69.50/$79.50 + tax, depending on seating, Standard, premium or VIP.  Kids 3-
12 are $39.50/$49.50/$59.50 + tax. One free child per paying adult.   Dinner packages are available.

Helicopter tours.  Explore Maui by air, see spectacular waterfalls, fly high above Majestic
Haleakala, and see the parts of Maui you can’t get to by car.
West Maui Mountains 30 minute   $160              Hana & Haleakala 45 minute  $225
Circle Island 60 minute $270                                Molokai 60 minute   $270
(There might be a surcharge for a comfort seat, depending on weight (~250 lbs) and height)
With the increasing cost of fuel, there is a fuel charge per passenger of $15 - $30 in addition to the
rates above.

Haleakala Downhill Bike tour.   The van will pick you up at the hotel/condo, provide you with all
equipment and escort you down the crater road.  It is a pretty steep grade with no bike lane.  There
is a guide to lead the group and a chase van to follow and block traffic.  It is the safest way to do
this activity. Continental  breakfast is included. Cost is about $165 for the sunrise trip and lasts
about 8 hours.

Snorkel Molokini, I highly suggest the Mahana Naia out of Maalaea Harbor. It is a sailing
catamaran. They go to Molokini and a second snorkel destination. Departs at 6:45am and returns
at 12:45pm. They provide all snorkel gear and instruction, a continental breakfast and a deli style
lunch with beverages. Cost is $84.95.

For an adventurous snorkel trip, try Blue Water Rafting.  This trip goes out in the Zodiac style rafts
and heads south to the Kanaio Coast of Maui to the sea caves.  Then back towards Kihei with a
few stops for snorkeling. Many opportunities to see turtles and hopefully dolphins too. They provide
all snorkel gear and instruction and a deli style lunch with beverages.   4 Hour Kanaio Coast is $99
+ tax. And the 5 1/2 hour Kanaio/Molokini trip is $119 + tax.  Kids rates available.  (not a trip for
anyone with a bad neck or back or pregnant)

Snorkel Lanai, I recommend the Maui Nui, a hard-bottom inflatable raft. It is the largest of the rafts
that can accommodate up to 48 passengers and has a restroom on board. They leave out of
Lahaina Harbor. They offer a 1/2-day trip that includes continental breakfast, deli lunch, and 2
snorkel spots. The price is $89 for adults, $59 for kids.   The crew is a lot of fun.
(Not a trip for anyone with a bad neck or back or pregnant)

The Trilogy Discover Lanai Trip is a full day adventure.  Departing Lahaina Harbor, Monday through
Friday 6:15 am and return back at 4pm.  Includes continental breakfast with  Mom's homemade
cinnamon rolls and BBQ lunch at the pavilion overlooking Manele Bay.  Snorkeling equipment &
instruction included, volleyball, Van tour of Lana'i's old plantation town.  Cost is $179 per person +
tax.  They also offer a later sunset trip with dinner that departs Lahaina at 10am and arrives back at
7:30pm.

The Hula Girl snorkel trip departs from Kaanapali Beach at 9am and returns at 2pm. They motor
up to Honolua Bay, which is a marine preserve and offers great snorkeling. This catamaran is
beautiful and comfortable, large cushions to lay on in the front of the boat, booth tables to eat at.
And go up to the captain’s deck while they are sailing back to Kaanapali.. The Hula Girl has a
Galley and chef on board to prepare meals.  Ala Carte menu so food and beverage are not
included, however they are available for purchase. After lunch, they hoist the sails and sail back to
Kaanapali Beach. Cost is $99 for adults and $88 for kids 12 and under.  Scuba Diving is available
for an extra charge.

Dinner Cruise or Sunset Sail, Maui Princess Dinner Cruise departs from Lahaina Harbor at 5:
30pm and returns at 8:00pm.  This cruise includes dinner on the upstairs open-air deck.  Dinner
includes green salad, 1/2 chicken or Prime Rib, potato, vegetable and desert.  Also includes 3
alcoholic beverages and unlimited soft drinks.  Live music and dancing after dinner in the air-
conditioned main cabin.  Cost is $89.88 + tax.

The Hula Girl has a nice dinner sunset sail that departs from Kaanapali Beach at 4pm and goes
out for 2 hours.  A bit more romantic as there are not so many people and it is a much more
intimate setting.    Cost is $55 for adults + tax
Food and beverage are ala-carte and the menu ranges from $5 pupus to $20 main course.

Surf Lessons are popular for teens, but suitable for all ages.  They offer 2-hour small group
lessons and guarantee that you will learn to surf.  After the lesson, you can stay and use their
boards if available to practice.  Cost of the lesson is $60 per person + tax for a group lesson, $85
per person for semi-private lessons.

Haleakala Van Tour.  It is a full day trip.  Ekahi Tours has a tour to watch the sunrise on top of the
crater, includes hotel pick up and breakfast at the Pukalani Country Club.  Approximately 3am pick-
up and return 10am, for $110 per person.  Or with a company called Temptation Tours, they have
luxury Limo vans and only take 6-8 persons.  Quite a bit more comfortable and includes run of the
menu breakfast at Kula Lodge.  Cost is $199 + tax..

Hana Van Tour, I recommend Temptation Tours.  They do a first class tour in a luxury Limo van.
There are large captain's chairs and it is a real spacious and comfortable van.  A big cooler of
drinks is kept in the back and the lunch is a beach side picnic on White tablecloths, excellent lunch
with salad and a 1/2 smoked chicken, pasta salad and cookies for after.  Also includes a
continental breakfast.  Lots of stops, you can swim in a waterfall pool.  Cost for this trip is $199 +
tax.  Ekahi Tours also has Hana tour for $125 + tax

Zip Line  Kapalua Adventures Zipline is beautiful and fun all at the same time.  They have a variety
of tours, you can do up to 8 ziplines, they have a giant swing or a Challenge ropes course.  There
are parallel ziplines so you can zip side by side with a friend.  You will want to bring a camera to get
shots of the beauty of this part of the island.  Sunset tours and full moon tours available also.
Prices vary from about $149 to $299 per person depending on the tour.   Must be 10 years of age
or older. Need to be 60lbs or more; limited weight capacity- no one over 250 lbs. Need to be able
to carry or lift 15 lbs.

Seasonal Activities

Whale Watch Tours, December 16 to May 15
For the whale watch, you can enjoy seeing whales from your snorkel boat, but if you feel like you
need to see additional whales, then you can join a Pacific Whale Foundation whale watch trip from
$20-$35.  There are about 17 trips daily from Lahaina Harbor and Maalaea Harbor.

Parasailing, May 16 to December 15 is done up by the Kaanapali Area.  The company I use is
called UFO Parasailing.  They take 6 people out on the ski boat and each person gets either a 7 or
10 minutes flight.  Short but it seems like a long time when you are sailing up there. You take off
and land right on the boat.   7 minutes, 400 feet cost is $60.  10 minutes, 800 feet cost is $70.  Non-
flying observers are $30.  Minimum weight requirement is 130 LBS to fly alone.

Jet Skiing, May 16 to December 15 is done from a platform out in front of the Hyatt.  They operate
every day from 9am - 4pm.  Rates are as follows:
1/2 hour rental is $70 per machine, $15 for an additional rider
Full hour rental is $100 per machine, $15 for an additional rider
